Diagna Ndiaye, a prominent figure in Senegal’s financial sector and an advisor to President Macky Sall, has been appointed as the president of the organizing committee for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). This decision was announced by the Senegalese Minister of Sports during a meeting of the Senegalese National Olympic Sports Committee (CNOSS) executive board.
The Minister stated that Diagna Ndiaye was chosen for his extensive network, influence, and problem-solving abilities, making him the ideal candidate for leading the organizing efforts for the upcoming tournament to be held in Senegal.
Although taken by surprise, Diagna Ndiaye accepted the responsibility, acknowledging it as another challenge and expressing his commitment to fulfilling his duties effectively.
