Senegal is set to face the disciplinary commission of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday in Cairo. The focus of the inquiry is the Senegal-Côte d’Ivoire match during the CAN 2013 qualifiers, which ended in chaos with crowd trouble and injuries. Senegal has already been sanctioned with disqualification from CAN 2013, and the result confirmed as a 2-0 victory for Ivory Coast. Additional penalties, such as a stadium suspension and a hefty fine, may also be imposed. The match, played on October 13, was halted in the 74th minute due to crowd disturbances at the Léopold Sedar Senghor stadium.
