However, in a recent interview with Canal+, Matuidi appeared to offer reassurance regarding his contract extension. “My contract will be sorted out very soon,” he stated.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract situation, Matuidi remains a highly sought-after player by major European teams, including Napoli and FC Barcelona. Should he become a free agent in the summer, there is no shortage of potential suitors for the French international of Angolan origin.
According to reports in the English press, Manchester City has allegedly offered Matuidi a lucrative contract, including a signing bonus of 10 million euros, further highlighting his value in the transfer market.
