Jodel Dossou, who had been in conflict with the African Club for some time, has now found a new club. The Beninese international has signed with the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg for a period of 18 months.
Before finalizing his contract, Dossou underwent a successful trial with his former club.
In a press release dated January 1, 2014, Club Africain stated that “the player categorically refuses to play at the club again despite all attempts made with him and his agent.” Additionally, the release mentioned that the Club Africain’s Board of Directors had authorized Dossou to undergo a trial with Red Bull Salzburg from January 1 to 31, 2014. Despite this, Dossou remains under contract with Club Africain, and the authorization was granted to comply with FIFA regulations at the request of the Austrian club.
