After a successful playing career, former Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam “Mido” is set to venture into coaching. Mido, who had a stint with Olympique de Marseille, is reportedly on the verge of taking charge at Zamalek Cairo. The former Egyptian international, with 51 caps to his name, is expected to replace Helmi Tulane as the head coach of the club. Mido, who previously worked as a consultant for BeIn Sport’s Arabic channel, will lead his first training session with Zamalek on Wednesday, aiming to guide the team to a better position in the league.
