Pierre Womé has departed from Canon of Yaoundé and has joined the Union of Sports Movements of Loum. His decision to leave Canon comes after disagreements with certain club leaders. The departure was anticipated by Womé, especially after Canon’s defeat in the Cameroon Cup final against Yosa.
After the match, Soleil Nyassa, the special advisor to the president of Canon, pointed fingers at Womé, stating, “The advice I can give to Wome is to look elsewhere. It is he who is at the origin of the problems that happen to us today. The serenity he displayed last week was just a farce. He destabilized us. He did not play his role as a leader.”
Pierre Womé, a former Indomitable Lion, has had an extensive career in Europe, with his last club being FC Cologne.
