Algerian Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Tahmi, has announced the government’s plan to create a sports complex in each daïra (grouping of municipalities) across the country. This initiative is considered a top priority for the government, aiming to establish, on average, one sports complex for every daïra in the short term.
Minister Tahmi highlighted the significance of these sports infrastructures, emphasizing their role as assets for the Algerian youth. Additionally, he shared that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has received 16 training and preparation centers for national teams and sports clubs. These centers, equipped with modern facilities, will not only serve as training grounds for sports teams but also be utilized for school sports activities.
The implementation of this program is expected to contribute to the development of sports infrastructure and facilities, providing opportunities for sports engagement and talent development across different regions of Algeria.
