Hussein El Shahat, a key player for Al Ahly, expressed his immense joy at winning the Egypt Cup after defeating Zamalek with a two-goal lead in the final match.
Al Ahly clinched the Egypt Cup championship by triumphing over Zamalek with a 2-0 victory in the final held at the Al Oula Park Stadium, securing the reds’ 39th title in their history.
Speaking to ON Time Sports channel, Hussein El Shahat remarked, “Thank God, we achieved an important victory, securing my 14th championship title with Al Ahly.”
He continued, “As long as you play for Al Ahly, you will win championships.
We aim to achieve more this year, aiming for victory in the CAF Champions League, the local league, the cup, and all the competitions we participate in.”
El Shahat emphasized, “Thank God, Al Ahly elevates any player. We hope to continue reaping rewards in the future.”
Reflecting on the match, he added, “We were unfortunate in the first half, but we capitalized on opportunities in the second half and secured the win.”
Concluding his statements, Hussein El Shahat stated, “Winning is paramount in football. The fans supported us immensely, especially in the second half.
Thank God, we clinched the championship, and we strive to achieve more titles.”
