Congolese international Dylan Batubinsika, a stalwart in the Saint-Etienne squad, addressed the upcoming challenge as his team gears up to face Auxerre on the 28th day of Ligue 2.

The importance of the impending clash in the intense battle for promotion to Ligue 1 next season was not understated by Batubinsika.

Reflecting on a recent draw (0-0) against Pau, the seasoned defender emphasized the urgency to rebound swiftly.

“We are playing at home, in front of many supporters, we will have to be there. We had a very difficult trip on the way out.

For ourselves, for the supporters, we have to produce a big match this Saturday,”* he asserted, highlighting the significance of the match and the imperative to secure a positive outcome.

Acknowledging the competitive environment within the team, Batubinsika stressed the necessity for each player to strive for excellence and merit their position.

“We know that there is competition, that the coach must make choices. But it’s our job. In the state of mind, everyone gives the best of themselves.

We enhance each other, no matter who is playing,”* he added, underlining the collective commitment and mutual support among the players.

As the battle for promotion intensifies, Saint-Etienne currently holds the 4th position in Ligue 2, securing a coveted spot in the playoffs for promotion to the elite tier.

With aspirations high and the determination palpable, Dylan Batubinsika’s call for a stellar performance sets the stage for an electrifying encounter this Saturday.
