Ahmed Hossam “Mido,” former star of the first football team at Zamalek Club, has revealed the establishment of a football club of his own.
Speaking on the program “Al-Laeb” broadcasted on MBC Egypt, Mido stated: “I have announced my own club, where I am the chairman of the board, and I am committed to my partners who are with me on the board.
Starting from next year, we will have seven teams in the youth sectors, aiming to become the best youth sector in Egypt.”
Mido continued: “We will have a first team in football participating in the fourth division league from the upcoming season, and we plan to promote to the Premier League within 5 or 6 years at the latest.”
He clarified, “The name of the club is ‘Sharks’.”
He further elaborated: “Our main goal is to send a number of young players to Europe for professional careers in the coming years,” emphasizing, “We will have more than 30 professionals in Europe, graduates of the Sharks club youth sector.”
