The management of Al-Fayha Saudi Football Club is making strides to secure the contract of Moroccan international Abderrahim Saibiri, who currently defends the club’s colors on loan for the current football season.
According to informed sources cited by “Hesport,” Al-Fayha seeks to activate the purchase clause in Saibiri’s contract after acquiring him on a loan basis during the previous summer transfer window for one football season.
Al-Fayha’s management has been impressed by Saibiri’s capabilities this season. Despite facing challenges at times, he remains one of the standout players for the team.
The same source indicated that Al-Fayha has initiated negotiations with the officials of Fiorentina to finalize the permanent acquisition of Saibiri’s contract.
The decision is expected to be made in the coming weeks. The player is reportedly content in the Saudi Professional League, which has attracted a host of international stars this season.
Saibiri, aged 27, has participated in 13 matches for Al-Fayha during the current football season across all competitions. He was absent from the Moroccan national team during the recent edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
