AC Milan has decided to part ways with coach Massimiliano Allegri following the team’s recent defeat in Serie A against Sassuolo. The defeat, coupled with the team’s current standing (11th in the championship), prompted the club’s decision to terminate Allegri’s tenure. Allegri, who initially led AC Milan to a Serie A title in his first season, struggled in the current season, and the club is now looking for a new head coach.
Two former AC Milan players, Clarence Seedorf and Filippo Inzaghi, are being considered as potential successors. Seedorf, currently coaching the AC Milan youth team, and Inzaghi, who has been linked to the coaching position since the end of the previous season, are among the candidates to take over the helm. Mauro Tassotti will serve as interim coach in the meantime.
This decision comes after AC Milan qualified for the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League but struggled in Serie A, prompting a change in leadership.
