Rainer Zobel, the former coach of Al Ahly, has disclosed his predictions for the outcome of the Egyptian Cup final match between Al Ahly and Zamalek.
The much-anticipated clash between Al Ahly and Zamalek is set to take place at 7:30 PM Cairo time on Friday, March 8th, and 8:30 PM Mecca time.
In a televised statement, Zobel expressed, “I follow the Egyptian league from time to time, and I always look for the results, especially Al Ahly’s, because my heart belongs to Al Ahly.”
He added, “I follow the Egyptian national team, Liverpool, and also Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.”
Zobel continued, acknowledging the leadership roles assumed by Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan in the Egyptian national team, saying, “They work together consistently, and I wish them success. Sometimes, they were crazy about football.”
Reflecting on his time with Al Ahly, Zobel reminisced, “I remember Al Ahly players like Essam El-Hadary, Kébé, Magdi Tolba, Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, and all the players.
I don’t remember any Zamalek player because I am an Al Ahly supporter.”
Concluding his remarks, Zobel remarked, “It’s difficult to predict the outcome of the final match, especially this year because there haven’t been many league matches, and the two teams haven’t played many games.
My heart leans towards Al Ahly.”
