The Egyptian Premier League Clubs Association, under the presidency of Ahmed Diab, has announced sanctions following the recent matches in the “Nile” Egyptian Premier League.
Karim Hassan Shehata, the football director of the Al Ahly Bank Club, has been handed a one-match suspension and fined EGP 20,000 for his expulsion from the match after entering the field to protest against the referee.
The incident occurred during the match between Farco and Al Ahly Bank, which took place in the 16th round of the domestic championship last Friday.
Additionally, Mohamed Mohamed Haitham, a player from the Smouha team, has been suspended for one match due to his dismissal against Modern Future, in which he received two yellow cards in the same match.
Moreover, Mahmoud Ahmed Mahmoud Rezk, a player from the Modern Future team, has also been suspended for one match for preventing a clear opportunity.
The coach of Modern Future, Mohamed Sadek, has been suspended for two matches and fined EGP 20,000 for his unsportsmanlike conduct towards the match supervisor.
Furthermore, a financial penalty of EGP 25,000 has been imposed on Modern Future club for the executive director, Haitham Arabi, entering the referees’ corridor after the match to protest against the referee’s decisions.
The Al Ahly Bank Club has been fined EGP 20,000 for the collective protest of the coaching and administrative staff against the match referee.
Moreover, an additional financial penalty of EGP 100,000 has been imposed on Karim Hassan Shehata, the football director of the Al Ahly Bank Club, for inciting withdrawal from the match and not completing it.
