Algerian football star Riyad Mahrez expressed satisfaction with the performance of himself and his teammates despite a draw against Damac FC in the Saudi Professional League.
Speaking in a statement relayed by Al Ahly’s official page on the “X” platform, Mahrez said, “We delivered a good match, and I am pleased that we played in front of our fans.
The red card was tough for us, and I’m not sure if it was justified or not.”
The Green Captain added, “We deserved to win, and the draw is the least of our losses.
We created several opportunities, and not finishing attacks is the negative aspect.”
Mahrez concluded, “We must focus on the positives in our team to continue our journey in a good manner.”
In the match, Mahrez faced off against his compatriot Sofiane Bendebka, who delivered an impressive performance, dazzling everyone during the Wolves’ encounter.
