Rangers enthusiasts can anticipate the return of Senegalese winger Abdallah Sima, a pivotal figure for the club, as he gears up to resume training next week after nursing a thigh injury sustained during the Africa Cup of Nations.
Following a successful surgical procedure, Abdallah Sima is progressing well on the road to recovery.
Although coach Philippe Clément refrained from specifying an exact return date, he affirmed that the Senegalese talent would recommence on-field activities next week, albeit initially without the ball.
“He is recovering well. His condition is improving more and more, and he is meeting deadlines. I don’t want to give a fixed deadline; it’s still a little early to say. But from next week, he will resume training on the field, even if it will be without a ball.
This is part of his usual recovery program,” mentioned Clément during a press conference. Sima is expected to be sidelined for two to three months post the operation to rectify his injury.
With the imminent return of the club’s leading goal-scorer, Rangers are poised to face forthcoming challenges with optimism, aspiring for Sima to seamlessly continue his goal-scoring prowess once back in action.
The Senegalese dynamo has notched an impressive 15 goals across various competitions, raising expectations for his impactful resurgence on the field.
