Sevilla FC, the Spanish football club, reclaimed their winning form on Saturday with a 3-2 victory over Real Sociedad, in the 27th round of the domestic league.
Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri opened the scoring for Sevilla in the 11th minute, tapping in a rebound from goalkeeper Alex Remiro, who saved a shot from the promising Isaac Romero.
Less than two minutes later, En-Nesyri added his second goal from a difficult angle on the left side after receiving a pass from Romero.
The referee awarded a penalty after a handball on Sevilla’s captain, Sergio Ramos, which was successfully converted by Portuguese forward André Silva in the 45+5 minute.
Silva refrained from celebrating his goal against his former team, where he played during the 2018-2019 season.
Ramos further extended Sevilla’s lead with his third goal of the current season in the 66th minute, heading in a cross from Oliver Torres.
Substitute midfielder Brais Méndez narrowed the gap again for Real Sociedad in the 90+2 minute with a direct free-kick to the left of Norwegian goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland.
With this result, Sevilla, who secured their first win after a goalless draw with Valencia and a defeat to Real Madrid, raised their tally to 27 points, placing them 14th in the standings.
Meanwhile, Real Sociedad remained at 40 points, occupying the seventh position.
