Zamalek’s head coach, José Gomez, has emphasized the need to convert possession into more opportunities ahead of their encounter with Al Ahly in the Egyptian Cup final on Friday, March 8.
Speaking to ON Time Sports channel, Gomez stated, “We had possession of the ball but failed to create enough chances in the first half.”
“We have an important match in a few days (against Al Ahly), but first, we have a match in the CAF Confederation Cup that we must prepare for.”
“We know that Al Ahly is a great team with excellent players, so we need to prepare ourselves to try to defeat them. Finals are not just played; they are won.”
“History doesn’t remember who plays well, but who wins, and we want to be part of that history. All we need is to turn possession into more opportunities.”
Zamalek secured a 1-0 victory over El Dakhleya, with Omar Gaber scoring in the 83rd minute.
