Former Egyptian football star Ibrahim Said has disclosed details of an agreement reached between the board of Al Ahly Club, led by Mahmoud El Khatib, and the team’s first football defender, Mohamed Abdel-Moneim.
Speaking on his program aired on the “Al Nahar” channel, Ibrahim Said stated, “The board of Al Ahly Club has finalized an agreement with Abdel-Moneim to renew his contract for three seasons.”
He clarified, “Al Ahly Club has reached a semi-final agreement with Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, the team’s defender, for the upcoming period to renew his contract with the club for three years to continue with the team.”
Said concluded, “Al Ahly Club has promised Mohamed Abdel-Moneim that if he receives a substantial offer from one of the major leagues in Europe, it will be considered.”
Al Ahly is gearing up to face Young Africans FC in the final round of the group stage matches in the CAF Champions League, scheduled for next Friday evening.
Al Ahly secured a 5-1 victory against Mahalla Municipality team in the match held yesterday evening, as part of the postponed fixtures of the Premier League.
