The Moroccan women’s football team has advanced to the fourth and final round of the African regional qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after defeating Tunisia 4-1 in the decisive match held Wednesday evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
Goals for the national team were scored by Fatima Tagnaout in the 11th minute, and Ibtesam Gradi netted a hat-trick in quick succession in the 16th, 20th, and 22nd minutes.
Meanwhile, Salma Zemzem scored the sole goal for the Tunisian team in the 58th minute.
Last Friday, the Moroccan team secured a narrow victory over Tunisia with a score of 2-1 in the first leg of the qualifier played in the Tunisian city of Suleiman.
The representatives of Africa for the Paris Olympics will be determined after the fourth and final round, scheduled to take place from April 1st to April 9th.
