The Ghana U-20 women’s team, known as the Black Princesses, has commenced its training camp in Cape Coast as they gear up for the upcoming African Games scheduled for March. Coach Yussif Basigi has issued a call, and a significant number of players have already reported for duty.

While the complete roster of 20 players summoned by Coach Yussif Basigi is not yet assembled, the majority arrived in Cape Coast on February 27, 2024. Presently, 14 Black Princesses are actively participating in training sessions under the watchful eye of the technical staff.

The remaining players are expected to join the camp by February 29, 2024. These athletes will engage in rigorous training regimens over the next week to fine-tune their skills ahead of the tournament kick-off on March 8, 2024.

The Black Princesses are slated to open their African Games campaign on March 9, facing Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. Subsequent Group A matches will see them contend with Tanzania and Uganda.

It is imperative to note that Coach Yussif Basigi has selected a talented pool of 20 players to represent Ghana in the women’s football tournament during the 13th edition of the African Games.

The roster comprises Afi Amenyaku, Debora Brown, Amina Ahamadu, Comfort Yeboah, Fatimata Fuseini, Comfort Owusu, Abiba Issah, Abena Anoma Opoku, Success Ameyaa, Beline Nyarkoh,

Tracey Twun, Stella Nyamekye, Agnes Yeboah, Salamatu Abdoulai, Mercy Attobrah, Mukarama Abdoulai, and Jacqueline Amponsah. The Black Princesses aim to showcase their prowess and bring glory to Ghana in this prestigious continental competition.
