Former Al-Ahly star and Egyptian national team player, Mokhtar Mokhtar, has expressed confidence in Zamalek’s chances of clinching the CAF Confederation Cup title this season.
Speaking in a televised interview, Mokhtar stated, “I hope Zamalek returns strongly, and the competition between them and Al-Ahly is at its peak. We don’t know who will win the league between the two teams.”
Highlighting Zamalek’s strength in Egyptian football, he added, “Zamalek is a formidable force in Egyptian football, and I believe they can easily secure the CAF Confederation Cup title this season. The team needs to focus on this championship.”
Mokhtar concluded his remarks by saying, “Zamalek has dropped many points in the league, but the situation is still within reach for them. However, I don’t think Al-Ahly will stumble much.”
Zamalek secured a 2-1 victory against Abuslem in their recent match on Sunday, in the fifth round of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
