The Zamalek football team, born in 2004, secured the Giza Region League championship by defeating Laveena on penalties in the final match held Tuesday evening at the Beshet Youth Center stadium.
Ahmed Mohamed Hassan “Sharkia,” Abdulrahman Hisham, and Yahya Mohamed Hassan were the scorers for Zamalek during the penalty shootout.
The match witnessed a competitive showdown between the two teams, with Zamalek dominating proceedings for large spells.
Despite creating several opportunities, Zamalek’s players couldn’t convert them into goals, resulting in a goalless draw at the end of regular time and leading to the tiebreaker.
Rafai Mohamed Rafai serves as the head coach of the Zamalek 2004 team, supported by assistant coaches Hisham Ibrahim and Mahmoud Yassin.
Mustafa Ghareeb takes charge as the goalkeeping coach, while Mohannad Yasser handles administrative duties.
Additionally, Mustafa Younis serves as the rehabilitation and injury specialist, with Ibrahim Baher overseeing logistical responsibilities.
