Mohamed Abu El-Wafa, a member of the Egyptian Football Federation’s board of directors, has expressed the federation’s reluctance to engage in a dispute with the Portuguese coach Roy Vitoria, the former head coach of the Egyptian national team, over his financial dues.
Speaking on the “Malaeb El Shams” program with Magdi Abdelghani, Abu El-Wafa stated, “The Football Federation is not eager to engage in conflicts with Roy Vitoria, the former head coach of the Egyptian national team.
We decided to part ways with him due to the results in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, and he was informed of this decision. We negotiated with him regarding the termination clause.”
He further added, “We are seeking to resolve the termination clause issue with Roy Vitoria through legal loopholes without getting into any conflicts with the coach.”
Abu El-Wafa emphasized, “The Football Federation has not received any complaints regarding Roy Vitoria to FIFA.”
