Turki Al Sheikh, the head of the Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, has declared the tickets for the Ahly-Zamalek Egypt Cup final for the 2022/2023 season as sold out.
The Ahly and Zamalek teams will play the Egypt Cup final for the first time in Saudi Arabia, scheduled for March 8th at the First Park Stadium.
Al Sheikh wrote on his Facebook account: “Tickets for the Egypt Cup match between Al Ahly and Zamalek have been sold out. Get ready to watch a historic match at the First Park.”
Al Sheikh had previously announced an additional prize for the winner of the Egypt Cup between Ahly and Zamalek, amounting to $500,000 for the winning team.
Each club will receive $100,000 for participation, with the winner receiving $350,000 as a prize and the runner-up receiving an additional $150,000, before announcing an additional prize from the Riyadh Season of $500,000 for the title-winning team.
Zamalek emerged victorious against Pyramids after an exciting scenario of penalty shootouts following the end of both the original and extra time with a score of 3-3 in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Ahly defeated Enppi with a score of 3-1 in the other semi-final.
Ahly hopes to clinch the title for the 39th time in its history, while Zamalek aims for its 29th title win.
