Enppi secured a dramatic victory over Zed with a 2-0 win in the Egyptian Premier League match held on Monday, asserting their dominance in the ongoing 2023-2024 season.
The two teams clashed at the Cairo International Stadium as part of the 14th round of the Nile League.
Mohamed Sherif Hatem scored the winning goal for Enppi in stoppage time, precisely in the 90+1 minute, after a remarkable individual effort from Sherif to penetrate the penalty area, concluding it with a shot that found the back of the net in the bottom right corner of the goal.
Zed thought they had secured an equalizer in the 90+8 minute through Abdelrahman El Banoubi, but after the referee reviewed the video technology, the goal was disallowed.
With this result, Enppi climbed to the top of the Egyptian Premier League table with 26 points, while Zed’s tally halted at 21 points, placing them in second position.
