Al-Attihad emerged victorious against Al-Wehda, courtesy of a stellar performance by the 33-year-old Moroccan striker, Abderrazak Hamdallah. The seasoned forward showcased his scoring prowess by netting a crucial brace in the dying moments of the match.

The clash at Al-Attihad’s home ground unfolded as a fiercely contested battle, with both teams vying for supremacy. Despite their spirited efforts, Karim Benzema and his teammates found themselves trailing after an early setback.

Nigerian international Odilon Ighalo capitalized on an opportunity in the 35th minute, putting Al-Wehda in the lead.

As the first half drew to a close, Benzema had a chance to level the score, earning a penalty. However, the French striker faced a resilient challenge from Moroccan goalkeeper Munir El Kajoui, who expertly anticipated Benzema’s shot direction, denying the equalizer.

The second half witnessed relentless pressure from Al-Attihad, determined to overturn the deficit. Their persistence paid off as they earned another penalty a few minutes before the regulation time concluded.

Abderrazak Hamdallah stepped up to the spot, showcasing his composure and intelligence with a panenka-style conversion, restoring parity.

Despite a numerical disadvantage following Saad Al Mosa’s red card in the 90th minute, Al-Attihad continued to fight. In a dramatic turn of events, Hamdallah, assisted by Benzema’s redemption pass, secured the decisive goal in the 94th minute.

This exceptional performance elevated Hamdallah’s goal tally in the league to an impressive 15.

The victory not only underscored Al-Attihad’s resilience but also highlighted the individual brilliance of Abderrazak Hamdallah, whose clinical finishing proved to be the difference-maker in a fiercely contested encounter.
