Historic agreement: Moroccan women’s football club signs first sponsorship deal
The “Association of Women’s Football Club of Saidia” has become the first Moroccan team to sign a sponsorship agreement, marking a significant milestone in the country’s national women’s football league.
The sponsorship deal was officially signed on Monday, February 26th, between Mohamed El Tajini, President of the Association of Women’s Football Club of Saidia, and Jalil Beniss, the General Manager of the Saidia Development Company, a subsidiary of the Deposit and Management Fund Group.
This partnership establishes the Saidia Development Company as the club’s inaugural sponsor, alongside support from the Municipal Council of Saidia.
The Saidia Development Company is dedicated to promoting tourism in the Saidia resort area.
Among its key objectives are enhancing the resort’s infrastructure, increasing its capacity, and elevating service standards to meet international benchmarks, thus stimulating tourism in the region.
Mohamed El Tajini, a prominent media figure, was unanimously elected as the President of the “Women’s Football Club of Saidia” during an extraordinary general assembly held in Saidia on August 20, 2023, coinciding with the anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution.
