Ahmed Eid Abdelmalek, former star of Egyptian football and Zamalek Club, emphasized that Zamalek displayed an excellent performance against Abu Salim of Libya in the match that brought the two teams together in the fifth round of group stage matches in the African Confederation Cup, while also praising goalkeeper Mohamed Awad.
Abdelmalek affirmed that the White Knights delivered a good performance against Abu Salim, achieving several positives.
He pointed out that the team’s new coach, Jose Gomez, succeeded in imposing the style of play, with Zamalek dominating possession and applying high pressure on the opponent throughout the match.
Abdelmalek added, “Mohamed Awad, the goalkeeper of Zamalek, has been consistently participating, and it’s natural that he is close to joining the ranks of the Egypt national team in the upcoming period.”
