Gabonese international goalkeeper Didier Ovono has secured a contract with Sochaux until the end of the season. After a successful trial with the French club, Ovono, who had been unemployed since the summer, will now serve as the backup to Simon Pouplin. The move comes in response to Pierrick Cros’s injury, who suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament and is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Ovono’s contract with Sochaux is set to expire in June.
