Fulham delivered a stunning blow to Manchester United at their fortress, Old Trafford, emerging victorious with a scoreline of 2-1. Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi and Leon Balogun Bassey played pivotal roles in Fulham’s triumph, shaking up the Premier League standings.

The game, part of the 26th day of the Premier League, unfolded with a goalless first half, keeping both sets of fans on the edge of their seats.

The breakthrough came in the 65th minute when Fulham’s Bassey found the back of the net, leaving the Old Trafford faithful in awe.

Despite a late equalizer from Manchester United’s Maguire in the 89th minute, Fulham was determined to make a lasting impact.

As the game reached its climax, Fulham showcased resilience and tactical brilliance. Seizing an opportunity, Alex Iwobi capitalized on defensive lapses, delivering a precise strike to the right of Onana in the 90th + 7 minute, sealing Fulham’s victory.

The triumph propelled Fulham to the 12th position in the Premier League standings, causing a ripple in the established order.

On the other hand, Manchester United, who were on a commendable streak of seven games without defeat in all competitions, saw their impressive run come to an unexpected halt.

The defeat leaves the Red Devils in the 6th position, prompting a reevaluation of their strategies as they navigate the challenges of the ongoing Premier League season.
