Commenting on the meeting, the ambassador stated, “Meeting with Anthony Modeste, the first French football player to play for Al Ahly.”
He further expressed his pride in having a French player in Egypt, underscoring the significance of Modeste’s presence in fostering cultural and sporting exchange between the two nations.
At 35 years old, Modeste has showcased his prowess in 15 matches wearing the iconic red jersey of Al Ahly across various competitions.
Since joining the club last summer in the transfer window, he has notched up 3 goals and provided an assist, contributing significantly to the team’s success on the field.
