The standings of Group Future in the Confederation Cup witnessed a significant shift after Libya’s Hilal Benghazi secured a notable victory over Algeria’s USM Alger, sparking a surge in online searches on Google among football enthusiasts across the African continent.
In a fiercely contested match held at the February 17 Stadium, Hilal Benghazi emerged triumphant with a 2-1 scoreline against their Algerian counterparts, USM Alger, in the fifth round of fixtures in Group A of the African Confederation Cup.
Meanwhile, a spirited battle between South Africa’s SuperSport United and Egypt’s Modern Future ended in a 1-1 draw at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in another fixture of the same group.
With these results, USM Alger maintains their position at the top of Group A with 10 points, closely followed by Modern Future with 8 points.
