Ahmed Soliman, a member of the Zamalek Board of Directors and head of the team’s mission in Algeria, made a point of visiting the dressing room after the match against Libya’s Abu Salim in the Confederation Cup to extend his congratulations to the team players and coaching staff following their victory.
Addressing the players, Ahmed Soliman stated, “We are delighted to qualify as the group leaders, achieving a historic milestone by securing 13 points in the group stage.
There is still an opportunity for us to accumulate more points.”
He continued, “The players of Zamalek have a historic opportunity in this tournament to achieve further positive results, and they have the full support of the club’s board of directors to clinch the title.”
Zamalek secured a valuable victory over Abu Salim with a score of 2-1 in the match held as part of the fifth round of the group stage in the African Confederation Cup.
This victory propelled the White Knights to the top of the group with 13 points, ensuring their qualification for the quarter-finals.
