Djibril Cissé, the French striker playing for Kuban Krasnodar, has expressed his dissatisfaction with his current situation in Russia, citing disappointment with the climate, the level of the championship, the quality of training, and racist behavior from some supporters. Cissé, who has scored five goals in 25 official matches since joining Kuban Krasnodar last summer, is considering leaving the club during the winter transfer window.
According to reports, Cissé is eyeing a return to France and has been linked to several Ligue 1 clubs, including AS Saint-Etienne, Lyon, and Montpellier. He mentioned his desire to return to Ligue 1, cross the 100-goal mark (he currently has 94 goals), and make a contribution to teams facing attacking issues. Cissé is open to making a salary sacrifice and emphasizes that he is free, meaning there would be no transfer fees involved.
Cissé’s current contract with Kuban Krasnodar has six months remaining, and he intends to give his best on the field while waiting for the opportunity to secure a place in the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
