Coach Tamer Mostafa: SuperSport match a tough challenge… early qualification is a must
Tamer Mostafa, the head coach of Modern Future Club, emphasized the difficulty of tomorrow’s match against South African team SuperSport United in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Modern Future Club will be visiting SuperSport United on Sunday at 3 PM (Egypt and South Africa time) at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa, as part of the fifth round of the group stage matches of the CAF Confederation Cup.
During the pre-match press conference, Tamer Mostafa stated, “We approach the match differently, believing in our chances and aiming to secure qualification to the next round from here in South Africa.”
He added, “We understand the difficulty of the match, but we must believe in our ability to win.
Both teams have good chances in the tournament. Our team has a greater chance, but in reality, we have not yet qualified officially.”
Mostafa emphasized, “We must settle the qualification issue early, especially since a tough and strong schedule awaits us in the Egyptian league.”
He mentioned that the first encounter with SuperSport was three months ago and there is a possibility of many changes, but he hoped that the advantage would be for the Egyptian team tomorrow.
Regarding SuperSport’s position in the group standings, Mostafa affirmed his respect for the opponent and acknowledged the capabilities of their players, but he is solely focused on his team.
Addressing the challenges faced by Modern Future Club in South Africa, Mostafa highlighted the difficulty of the climatic conditions and the hardship of travel.
However, the experience within the team is capable of overcoming these challenges. He noted that tomorrow’s match is different from Egyptian league encounters and requires a different spirit to achieve victory.
