The RS Berkane delegation has resumed its journey to South Africa after spending hours in Botswana due to delays in obtaining clearance for their aircraft to land at Johannesburg airport.
The management of RS Berkane successfully obtained the necessary permits from South African authorities after a prolonged wait in Botswana.
Subsequently, the team’s delegation headed towards South Africa in preparation for their match against South African club Sekhukhune United in the group stage of the African Confederation Cup.
Initially, the RS Berkane delegation had traveled on a shared flight with Wydad Casablanca via a private plane.
However, due to delays in obtaining clearance for the aircraft to enter South African airspace, the team was forced to halt in Botswana.
This delay coincided with Wydad’s delegation landing in Botswana ahead of their match against Galaxy of Botswana in the Champions League.
