The Egyptian club Al-Ismaily received official notification on Wednesday from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirming the closure of the case involving Palestinian player Khaled Al-Nebres.
This development follows the cancellation of the scheduled hearing on February 26th.
The Ismaily management informed the CAS of reaching an amicable resolution regarding the player’s financial dues for the period he played with the club from January 2022 to the same month in 2023.
An agreement was reached between Al-Ismaily and Al-Nebres for the player to return to the team on a free transfer, with a portion of his outstanding dues to be paid upon signing the new contract under the same terms as the previous one.
Expressing his satisfaction with the return to Al-Ismaily, Al-Nebres took to his Facebook page, stating, “I am pleased to return to Al-Ismaily and I would like to express my gratitude to all those who worked to resolve the dispute in a manner that preserves the rights of both parties.”
He further added, “I pray to God and call upon the Al-Ismaily fans to stand behind the club, its management, and me, so that together we can fulfill the dreams of the loyal supporters.”
