Al-Akhdar deepens Al-Souqour’s wounds

Al-Akhdar secured a crucial victory against their counterparts, Al-Souqour, with a scoreline of 3-1 in the match held on Wednesday.

This fixture marked the third round of the second leg in Group A of the Libyan Premier League.

With this win, Al-Akhdar elevated their tally to 21 points, securing the third position in the league standings.

Meanwhile, Al-Souqour remain at a mere 6 points, languishing in the tenth and final spot.

From the onset, Al-Akhdar asserted their dominance on the field, compelling Al-Souqour to retreat defensively.

Majdi Artiba opened the scoring for Al-Akhdar in the seventh minute, capitalizing on their early dominance.

Minutes before the end of the first half, Saad Khameesi added a second goal, further solidifying Al-Akhdar’s lead.

In the 53rd minute, Angolan forward Ari Babal extended Al-Akhdar’s advantage with a third goal.

However, Kelvin Adnoh’s strike in the second minute of stoppage time for the second half narrowed the deficit for Al-Souqour.
