Ahly’s first football team list selected by coach Marcel Koller to travel to Ghana for a confrontation with Medeama saw the exclusion of Mahmoud Kahraba upon his request due to his sister’s wedding commitments.
Additionally, Mohamed El Shenawy, Khaled Abdel Fattah, Christo, Aliou Dieng, and Marwan Mohsen are absent due to injuries, while Ahmed Abd El-Qader is sidelined for technical reasons.
Ahmed Nabil Kouka and Mahmoud El Zanfali are deemed unfit, while Omar Kamal Abdelwahed and Mohamed Sharif are not included in the African list.
Anthony Modeste’s request was also rejected.
The Ahly list for the goalkeeper position includes Mostafa Shobier, Hamza Alaa, and Mostafa Mohamed.
Defenders are represented by Ali Maaloul, Karim Al-Deeb, Akram Tawfik, Mohamed Hani, Mohamed Abdel Monem, Yasser Ibrahim, Rami Rabia, and Imam Ashour.
The midfield comprises Mohamed Magdi Afsha, Hussein El Shahat, Reza Soliman, Karim Fouad, and Percy Tau. Forwards include Mostafa Abu Al-Khair, Modeste, and Wessam Abdel Ali.
Ahly will have a single training session on Thursday in Ghana, focusing on tactical aspects desired by Kolr for the match.
Kolr will also attend the press conference to discuss Ahly’s preparations for the game and address inquiries.
