Ahmed El Tayeb, sports commentator, has commented on Egypt’s exit from the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations held in Cote d’Ivoire.
El Tayeb stated in remarks to the program “Kalam Fi El Kora” with the host Ahmed Jamal, broadcasted on “Al Hadath Alyoum” channel: “There was mismanagement from the Portuguese coach Rui Vitoria of the Egyptian national team during the participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, which was evident from the first match against Mozambique.”
He further added: “Vitoria did not prepare the scenario for reaching penalties in the match against the Democratic Republic of Congo, and he did not handle it well, which led to Egypt’s exit from the tournament.”
