Montpellier’s coach, Jean Fernandez, has officially left his position after only six months, following a series of disappointing results, including a recent defeat against Lorient (0-2). Rolland Courbis is rumored to be his successor, and his extensive experience, including coaching Montpellier from 2007 to 2009, makes him a familiar face to the club. Pascal Baills will act as interim manager while the club considers a permanent replacement for Fernandez. Courbis is also nominated for the Africa Top Sports Awards.
