Augustine Otu, the Liberian footballer, has propelled Tersana Club to the top of Group B in the Second Division League in Egypt, with his remarkable goals contributing significantly to the team’s promotion to the professional league next season.
With his sights set on leading Tersana to the Premier League, Otu hopes to overcome the current leaders of Group A in the Upper Egypt section.
This victory would set the stage for a quadrangular contest with the top three teams from the Second Division League and the third-place holder in the professional league.
Augustine Otu’s Football Journey
Born on April 8, 1998, Otu began his football career with Nimba United in Liberia before moving to Oilers Monrovia during the 2018-2019 season.
He then had a brief stint in the Kenyan league with Wazito FC.
Returning to the Liberian league with Watanga during the 2020-2021 season, Otu’s stellar performance saw him top the league’s scoring charts with 19 goals and provide 3 assists, attracting the attention of Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh, who signed him for the 2021-2022 season.
However, Otu’s time with Al-Merrikh was short-lived as his contract was mutually terminated.
He then moved to Egypt, joining Future of the Nation Club before ultimately landing with Tersana in 2023 during the winter transfer window.

Otu has shone brightly for Tersana this season, topping the scoring charts in Group B of the Second Division League with 10 goals.
