Anwar El Ghazi, the former player of Germany’s Mainz football club, has been inundated with offers from several European clubs seeking to benefit from his services soon.
However, the Moroccan-origin player faces a single obstacle before embarking on a new football journey.
According to a close source to Anwar El Ghazi as reported by “Hesport”, the player’s agent has received official offers from European clubs expressing interest in signing the player.
Yet, El Ghazi is awaiting the right opportunity to determine his next destination.
The same source clarified that El Ghazi’s lawyer has advised him not to sign with any team at the moment until a certain period elapses, allowing him to benefit from his dispute with Mainz, which unilaterally terminated his contract.
During the current period, El Ghazi continues to adhere to individual training sessions with a private coach and physical trainer.
He has chosen to spend this time in the holy land before returning to the Netherlands to continue his training while awaiting the outcome of his dispute with Mainz and preparing for a new experience starting from the next season.
The same source affirmed that Anwar El Ghazi’s next goal is to represent the Moroccan national team after returning to the competitive atmosphere and establishing his position with a major European club in the upcoming transfer window.
It’s worth noting that Mainz terminated El Ghazi’s contract unilaterally due to his solidarity with the Palestinian people, a move that garnered significant support from the Arab sports community.
Anwar El Ghazi, who previously represented the Dutch national team, succeeded in changing his sporting nationality months ago, making him eligible to defend the colors of the Moroccan national team, as previously stated by the player’s father in an interview with “Hesport”.
It is noteworthy that El Ghazi has played for prominent clubs such as Mainz, Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven, and Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands, as well as Lille in France.
