The Pyramids FC squad is set to depart from Cairo on Wednesday en route to the Congo, ahead of their encounter with Mazembe scheduled for the following Saturday, as part of the ongoing African Champions League fixtures.
Pyramids will be guests at the Mazembe Stadium in the city of Lubumbashi, Congo, for the fifth round of group-stage matches in the African Champions League.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM Cairo time, 4:00 PM Mecca time.
Pyramids and Mazembe share Group A alongside South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns and Mauritania’s Nouadhibou.
The Croatian coach, Krunoslav Jurčić, has decided to grant the team a rest day from training on Tuesday, following their recent victories in the league and a friendly against Zed, before traveling to Congo.
The team will conduct their final training session in Cairo on Wednesday morning at the Air Defense Stadium.
Following this session, the head coach will announce the selected squad for the trip.
The squad will then board a private plane arranged by the Pyramids administration to travel directly to Lubumbashi for this crucial match.
