Mahmoud El Khatib, the Chairman of Al Ahly’s Board of Directors, presented the emblem and flag of the “Red Devils” to Hussein Labib, Chairman of Zamalek’s Board of Directors, during a visit today.
Accompanied by members of Al Ahly’s board, Mahmoud El Khatib visited Zamalek’s headquarters in response to an invitation extended by the club, aimed at fostering mutual respect between Egypt’s football giants.
During the course of the visit, Mahmoud El Khatib presented Zamalek’s Labib with the emblem and flag of Al Ahly. Labib, in turn, presented El Khatib with Zamalek’s emblem and flag.
Additionally, both boards of Zamalek and Al Ahly observed a minute of silence in honor of the late Amr Farouk, Vice President of Al Ahly, who passed away after battling illness.
Hussein Labib, President of Zamalek’s Board of Directors, presented Al Ahly’s President Mahmoud El Khatib with Zamalek’s emblem as a tribute to the late Amr Farouk.
Amr Farouk had been suffering from a brain hemorrhage, for which he underwent surgeries both within and outside Egypt, before passing away in January last year.
El Khatib accepted Labib’s invitation to visit Zamalek’s headquarters, underscoring the efforts to strengthen friendly relations between the two powerhouses of Egyptian football.
Members of both Al Ahly and Zamalek observed a minute of silence in tribute to Amr Farouk, the former Minister of Sports, symbolizing unity and respect across the football fraternity.
