Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, who plays for Al-Hilal Saudi Club, has shed light on the behind-the-scenes events involving Mbemba, the captain of the Democratic Republic of Congo national team, during the second-round match of the Africa Cup of Nations.
In an interview with “Colinterview” channel, Bounou disclosed, “Nassir Al-Nasiri informed me that Mbemba was directing insults towards our players throughout the match.”
He further stated, “Mbemba also instructed his Congolese teammates to aggressively target Onahy during that game, aiming to injure him.”
