President Abdelmadjid Tebboune extended his condolences to the family of a Union Sportive de Annaba supporter who tragically lost their life in a bus accident in Constantine city on Friday.
In a statement posted on his personal Facebook account today, Saturday, President Tebboune expressed his profound sadness, stating, “With deep sorrow, I received the news of the painful incident that befell some fans of Union Sportive de Annaba.”
He continued, “I offer my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the supporter who passed away, as well as to Union Sportive de Annaba.
I pray to the Almighty to grant him mercy and to dwell him in the highest heavens. I also pray for the speedy recovery of all the injured.”
The bus, carrying supporters of Union Sportive de Annaba, collided with four tourist cars on the return journey from Mila city after a match against Hilal Chelghoum El Aid before veering off the road.
The tragic accident resulted in one fatality and left 35 supporters injured to varying degrees.
