Ahmed Hossam “Mido,” the former Egyptian football star, has unleashed a scathing critique against the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) over the appointment of Alaa Nabil as its technical director.
Taking to his official social media account on X, Mido expressed his dismay, stating, “The appointment of Alaa Nabil as the technical director of the Football Association violates FIFA regulations… The man does not possess the required qualifications for this position.”

In a tweet that reverberated across the football community, Mido branded the move as “a new scandal for the Egyptian Football Association,” calling upon the Minister of Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, to intervene immediately.
He emphasized, “What is happening does not befit Egypt’s reputation.”
The Egyptian Football Association recently announced the appointment of Alaa Nabil as its technical director, alongside the appointments of Hossam Hassan as the head coach of the Egyptian national football team and Ibrahim Hassan as the team’s manager.
