Sami Qomsan, the head coach of the first football team at Al Ahly Club, expressed his satisfaction with the draw against CR Belouizdad in the match held at the 5th of July Stadium in the Champions League.
The Red Devils drew 0-0 with CR Belouizdad in the postponed match from the fourth round of the African Champions League, with Qomsan seeing the result as positive for the team given the circumstances they have faced recently, having not played any matches for over six weeks.
Qomsan highlighted that the team had more than one opportunity to score, particularly through Taher and Hussein El Shahat in the first half of the match.
He noted that CR Belouizdad had played seven official matches in the recent period, unlike Al Ahly, which had not played any official matches due to the Africa Cup of Nations.
In conclusion, Sami Qomsan emphasized that the draw provides the team with an opportunity to get closer to qualifying for the next round of the Champions League.
Al Ahly remains focused on their Champions League campaign, aiming to advance further in the tournament and maintain their status as one of Africa’s football powerhouses under the guidance of Qomsan.
